The Relationship Between Buyer and Seller

The relationship between buyer and seller has been carefully studied for years.
Since the first man found that something could be sold for something else, it has been studied.
This involves questioning what makes a person want to buy something.
What reaction happens in the brain when a person sees a product and has a want to buy it? We have all personally experienced what happens when the thought of buying something comes to mind, whether you see an advertisement for it, or see the product in a store.
When you buy something, you buy it to meet a need.
The word need has a different meaning from one person to another.
Person one may feel the need to buy a new shirt for the sole reason of keeping their body covered.
Person two may feel the same need to keep their body covered, but also feel the need to look good.
The feeling of looking good is more important to person two than to person one.
Person one may have only had one other shirt to wear and felt that they really needed another shirt to wear.
Person two might have a closet full of shirts but still felt the need to purchase another shirt.
All sellers must realize what causes the buyer to purchase a product.
This as recently stated includes the buyer feeling a sense of need for a product, but also fulfilling the want and desire to have a product.
Want for a product also has a different meaning from person to person.
Person one wants a new computer with a large hard drive and fast processor because they want to be able to work faster.
Their job requires a computer and they want the computer to help them complete work.
Person two wants the same computer but wants it because it is the newest and fastest model.
Their work does not require a computer, and they already own a computer, but they want the computer because it is new, fast and top of the line.
The last sense of desire also carries a different meaning from one person to the next.
Person one has the desire to have an mp3 player to use while they are working out.
They know the music will help them have a good rhythm and get the most out of their workout.
Person two wants the same brand new mp3 player, but has the desire to get it because their jogging partner has one.
This opens the subject of people seeing what someone else has and developing the desire to have it as well and all sellers know this.
The seller knows that when they release their product, the best form of advertising they can possibly have is a customer seeing their product out in the world.
When person one sees person two wearing a new style of shoes, they can instantly start to feel need, want and desire to have the same shoes.
The need want and desire can all come in different ways to different people and may not even be noticed by oneself.
The relationship between buyer and seller is constantly being studied and there are many different views and takes on the psychology aspect of this relationship.
The question of why a person may buy something is still being asked and answered everyday.
Only you can know why it was you made your last purchase.
